Part 1: Privacy Policy

Your privacy matters to me. This Privacy Policy explains what information I collect through www.novakmortgage.com (the "Website"), how I use it, and the choices you have. In this policy, "I," "me," and "my" refer to Tricia Novak at Ease Mortgage. By using the Website or submitting information through it, you agree to the practices described here.

Collection of Opt-In Information

I only collect information that you choose to give me. This happens when you:

  • Complete the Free Consultation form on the Website, or

  • Sign up for my email newsletter using the subscription form.

The information I collect through these forms includes:

  • Your name

  • Your phone number

  • Your email address

  • The type of mortgage product you are interested in (for example, purchase, refinance, FHA, VA, or conventional)

I do not ask for sensitive information such as your Social Security number, date of birth, or financial account details through the Website's consultation or newsletter forms. Please do not send that information through these forms or by regular email. If and when you decide to apply for a loan, application information will be collected through a separate, secure application process and is covered by my Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act privacy notice, which I will provide at that time.

Automatically collected information. The Website uses Google Analytics and the analytics tools provided by Squarespace, the platform that hosts the Website, to automatically collect basic technical data such as IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, and referring website through cookies and similar technologies. Google Analytics uses cookies to help me understand how visitors use the Website, such as which pages are viewed and how visitors find it. Squarespace also provides me with website traffic data and may use cookies needed to operate the Website. I use this information in aggregate to improve the Website, not to identify you or to contact you. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or opt out of Google Analytics by using Google's opt-out browser add-on. Google and Squarespace handle this data under their own privacy policies.

Use of Opt-In Information

I use the information you give me for these purposes only:

  1. To respond to your consultation request. I may contact you by phone, text message, or email to discuss your mortgage needs, answer your questions, and schedule your free consultation.

  2. To provide information about the mortgage product you asked about.

  3. To send you my email newsletter. If you submit the Free Consultation form, your email address will also be added to my newsletter list. If you subscribe directly through the newsletter form, I will use your email address for the newsletter. The newsletter may include market updates, mortgage education, and information about my services.

  4. To operate and improve the Website, using general, non-identifying usage information.

  5. To meet legal and regulatory obligations that apply to me as a licensed mortgage loan originator.

I do not use your information for any purpose other than those above without your consent.

Your choice to unsubscribe. Every newsletter email includes an "unsubscribe" link. You may also unsubscribe at any time by emailing me at tnovak@easemortgage.com. I will process unsubscribe requests promptly and no later than 10 business days. Unsubscribing from the newsletter does not stop me from contacting you about a consultation or loan you have requested. If you want me to stop all contact, tell me and I will honor that request.

Calls and texts. If you give me your phone number, you agree that I may call or text you about your inquiry. Message and data rates may apply. You may reply STOP to any text message to opt out, or tell me by phone or email that you do not want to be contacted.

Sharing of Opt-In Information

I do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Your information is used by me alone to contact you and to send you my newsletter.

I may share limited information only in these situations:

  • Service providers. I use trusted vendors to run my business, such as Squarespace, which hosts the Website and collects and stores the information you submit through the Free Consultation form and the newsletter signup form, as well as email, newsletter, and customer-contact service providers I may use from time to time. These providers may access your information only to perform services for me and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.

  • Legal and regulatory requirements. I may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or court order, or when requested by a regulator with authority over me, such as the Washington Department of Financial Institutions, the Idaho Department of Finance, or the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.

  • Business transfer. If my business is sold or reorganized, your information may transfer to the successor, who must honor this policy.

  • With your consent. If you ask me to share your information with someone else, such as a lender, real estate agent, or title company, I will do so only with your permission.

I take reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures to protect your information, including secure (HTTPS) connections on the Website, password-protected and access-limited systems, and use of reputable vendors with their own security protections. No method of internet transmission or electronic storage is completely secure, so I cannot guarantee absolute security. If I become aware of a security breach affecting your personal information, I will notify you and the appropriate authorities as required by Washington and Idaho law.

I keep your information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy or as required by law.
